The leaves are changing and
the temperature’s dropping (or maybe the temperature’s

-
Ann-Marie Trost has joined Reside as a Senior
Strategic Consultant, focusing on new business
development and business consulting. A Hamline
University Leadership Scholar and graduate of their
International Business Management program, she also
studied at University of Southern California.
She has worked for AT&T and Qwest in Business
Development roles and most recently has been active in
the medical device field, representing Acumen
Healthcare Solutions. A native of Hibbing,
Minnesota, she loves Italian food, and is often found
discussing business requirements over Caesar salad
(dressing on the side!). She has already
become a valuable asset to the Reside team, and
we are thrilled to have her with us. Please
contact Ann-Marie at atrost@reside.biz.
-
Natalie Olson-Elm has joined
Reside in a part-time Marketing Coordinator
role. When she's not busy handling print
materials, writing case studies, putting together the
newsletter, and updating Reside's web site, she is a
busy student at the U of M - where she is
finishing the Journalism major that she pursued at
Indiana University. In her "spare" time,
she also squeezes in hours serving at Lord
Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka, and the brand new
Minneapolis Piano Bar. Say hello to Natalie at
nolsonelm@reside.biz.

Spend time on
your message design. By Mike McMillan, Chief
Creative Officer, Introworks
You’ve just birdied
your second consecutive hole and you’re walking off the
fourth green, feeling awfully good about your golf game,
when one of your foursome brings you up short with,
“Say, what do you do for a living?” You break out in a
sweat. Can’t find the right words. Your lips get
parched. Gulp. If you have to struggle for words to
succinctly describe your business, it’s a good bet you
should spend some time on your message design. ...Read Full

Recruiting
The Next Generation of Talent By Gretchen Sullwold, Director of Recruiting,
Corporate Interns
After months of waiting and
jockeying for approval you finally get the go ahead to
hire a new staff person. You can hardly believe your
ears. At last, some reprieve; a way to alleviate your
over-stretched team and make some proactive
strides.
Once the euphoria settles a
few thoughts protrude. A.) You want to quickly make the
hire before someone changes their mind; B.) To make the
most of this opportunity mediocre will absolutely not
do; and C.) The time and financial resources available
to unearth this prized talent are few.
Now what? ...Read full

Instant Messaging:
Not just for kids By Mark Jenkins, Director
of Technology Solutions, Select Communications,
Inc.
Instant communication
seems to be elusive in our personal and business
lives. The telephone and e-mail were both supposed
to be the solutions to these challenges, yet it seems
that “instant” is a moving target. Every time a
new technology promises “instant” communication,
something else promises us delays. Allow me to
explain. ...Read Full
