letter from the ceo...

Dear Colleague,

The leaves are changing and the temperature’s dropping (or maybe the temperature’s changing and the leaves are dropping…?)  Either way - I hope you had a great summer and are enjoying Fall so far!

As your company strategies are planned for 2005, you may have questions or ideas about how web-based solutions could help your business.  Reside is in the business of answering your questions and enabling your ideas!  So please contact us at any time to arrange a no-obligation brain storming session!

Recently, Reside has created a strategic relationship with Salesforce.com that I’m very excited about.  Some of you heard about and attended the Salesforce.com Success Tour that Reside sponsored on October 19th.  If you missed it, don't worry - we can fill you in!  Check out the news below for details on that event and other exciting happenings at Reside.

Thank you to all of Reside’s team for their hard work this past quarter as well as our clients for their continued support.  Have a great season!

Rockin’,

Matt Meents

what's new at reside...

Open House - A Success!  Thanks to all who joined us in celebration at our debut event on September 16th.  We had a great time and hope you did, too!  Surrounded by a five piece jazz band, a chocolate fountain, martini luge, and more...Reside clients, partners, and families celebrated our history of working together in style (and toasted to a great future!).  Check out some snapshots from the successful event.

SalesForce.com Partnership:  Reside is pleased to announce our newly-formed strategic relationship with Salesforce.com, the worldwide leader in on demand customer relationship management services.  Thanks to those who joined us on October 19th for the Salesforce.com success tour.  It was a great event - with fantastic attendance.  If you weren't able to make it, but have an interest in learning more about Reside's CRM services and Salesforce.com partnership, please contact us today.  We are happy to discuss your CRM goals and needs.  Learn more about our CRM services on our web site.

Reside Team Continues to Grow!  We are excited to welcome two new members to the Reside team...So, let us take this opportunity to introduce you to them!

  • Ann-Marie Trost has joined Reside as a Senior Strategic Consultant, focusing on new business development and business consulting.  A Hamline University Leadership Scholar and graduate of their International Business Management program, she also studied at University of Southern California.  She has worked for AT&T and Qwest in Business Development roles and most recently has been active in the medical device field, representing Acumen Healthcare Solutions.  A native of Hibbing, Minnesota, she loves Italian food, and is often found discussing business requirements over Caesar salad (dressing on the side!).  She has already become a valuable asset to the Reside team, and we are thrilled to have her with us.  Please contact Ann-Marie at atrost@reside.biz.
  • Natalie Olson-Elm has joined Reside in a part-time Marketing Coordinator role.  When she's not busy handling print materials, writing case studies, putting together the newsletter, and updating Reside's web site, she is a busy student at the U of M - where she is finishing the Journalism major that she pursued at Indiana University.  In her "spare" time, she also squeezes in hours serving at Lord Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka, and the brand new Minneapolis Piano Bar.  Say hello to Natalie at nolsonelm@reside.biz.

Reside in the News

  • Featured in Upsize Magazine-  In August 2004, Upsize Magazine published an article announcing Reside's move from sublease to permanent space.  Located off I-394 and Penn Avenue, our new home of 4,000 square feet is filling up quickly as we continue to grow our business and employee roster.   Check out the scoop on Reside from Upsize Magazine's perspective: ...Read full article.

  • Pioneer Press: Where are they now? - In May 2003, the St. Paul Pioneer Press profiled Reside CEO Matt Meents in their Entrepreneurs section.  As a follow-up to that article, author Sheryl Jean touched base with Matt this October for an update on our growth and business plans. To read the article, simply visit www.pioneerpress.com, and search (articles older than 7 days) for "Meents".  The article was published on October 3, 2004, Page D12.

Reside Sponsors TwinWest Chamber: Reside is proud to sponsor one of the Metro's biggest and best Chambers of Commerce!  Earlier this month, we were thrilled to launch the re-vamped TwinWest web site: http://www.twinwest.com/.  The new site presents an updated look and feel, easy navigation, and enhanced features and functionality to better serve the Chamber's members.

Be sure to visit Reside's booth at the upcoming TwinWest Overtime: Wednesday, November 17th from 4:30 - 7:00pm at the Grand Rios Water Park and Conference Center: 6900 Lakeland Ave. North, Brooklyn Park.  For more information on this event, visit the (NEW) TwinWest website!

Spend time on your message design.
By Mike McMillan, Chief Creative Officer, Introworks

You’ve just birdied your second consecutive hole and you’re walking off the fourth green, feeling awfully good about your golf game, when one of your foursome brings you up short with, “Say, what do you do for a living?” You break out in a sweat. Can’t find the right words. Your lips get parched. Gulp. If you have to struggle for words to succinctly describe your business, it’s a good bet you should spend some time on your message design. ...Read Full Article.

Recruiting The Next Generation of Talent
By Gretchen Sullwold, Director of Recruiting, Corporate Interns

After months of waiting and jockeying for approval you finally get the go ahead to hire a new staff person. You can hardly believe your ears. At last, some reprieve; a way to alleviate your over-stretched team and make some proactive strides.

Instant Messaging: Not just for kids
By Mark Jenkins, Director of Technology Solutions, Select Communications, Inc.

Instant communication seems to be elusive in our personal and business lives.  The telephone and e-mail were both supposed to be the solutions to these challenges, yet it seems that “instant” is a moving target.  Every time a new technology promises “instant” communication, something else promises us delays.  Allow me to explain. ...Read Full Article.
